I receive daily messages each containing a featured word of the day and the history behind and examples of how to correctly use it.  Today&#8217;s word is &#8220;<span style=\"color:#222222; background-color:white\">krummholz&#8221;.  It is a combination of the German words &#8220;krumm&#8221; which means crooked and &#8220;holtz&#8221; which means &#8220;wood&#8221;.  It refers to small crooked trees at the edge of a mountain.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:Verdana; font-size:16pt\"><span style=\"color:#222222; background-color:white\">One of my favorite actors is David Krummholtz so I was intrigued to learn the meaning of word that surely is a form of his last name.
