Yes! \u00a0Here are the reasons why:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I was able to work with people whose company I enjoy.<\/li>\n<li>I was able to help in a fund raising effort and since I am chair of the Finance Committee it is part of my role to help the church raise funds.<\/li>\n<li>We have just received a new pastor and I was curious to listen and see what comments members were making about him already.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I was pleased to learn that people are excited to have him here. \u00a0Tomorrow in worship they even have planned a little joke to play on him in response to an &#8220;off the cuff comment&#8221; he made the previous Sunday in worship. \u00a0I also got to listen to them make plans for his official welcoming celebration.<\/p>\n<p>I came away know that as I expected we made some money for the church. \u00a0What was more important to me is the positive and playful attitude that members have toward the new pastor at this point. \u00a0If we can stay in a positive attitude who know what the limits are of the good that God will accomplish through our ministry? <strong>\u00a0All I know is that our efforts will be successful if we remain positive!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I spent a significant portion of the day assisting with the rummage sale at our church. \u00a0Finding me at a rummage sale is unusual because I don&#8217;t shop at them. \u00a0But when asked by one of the dear ladies of the church to help, I agreed to come and do my part.
