{"id":766,"date":"2015-03-21T23:21:14","date_gmt":"2015-03-22T08:21:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/?p=766"},"modified":"2015-03-22T03:22:29","modified_gmt":"2015-03-22T12:22:29","slug":"mar-21-and-sun-came","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/?p=766","title":{"rendered":"Mar 21 &#8211; And Sun Came!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"shariff\" data-title=\"Mar 21 &#8211; And Sun Came!\" data-info-url=\"http:\/\/ct.de\/-2467514\" data-backend-url=\"https:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/wp-content\/plugins\/shariff-sharing\/backend\/index.php\" data-temp=\"\/tmp\" data-ttl=\"60\" data-service=\"gftr\" data-services='[\"googleplus\",\"facebook\",\"twitter\",\"reddit\",\"info\"]' data-image=\"\" data-url=\"https:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/?p=766\" data-lang=\"en\" data-theme=\"colored\" data-orientation=\"horizontal\"><\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/sunny.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-764\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.shelquist.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/sunny.jpg\" alt=\"sunny\" width=\"259\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I wrote about the first day of Spring and how the weather resembled Winter more than it did Spring.\u00a0 Today the weather is bright and sunny and it feels good just to be outside in the open air.\u00a0 I reflected on this and thought, <strong><em>\u201cWhat a difference a day makes?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As I reflected on my change in attitude in the weather it reminded me of the change in mood in patients when they start to feel better than when they entered the hospital.\u00a0 Here some comments I receive from patients that tell me they have improved during their stay:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI thought I was going to die last night in the Emergency Room, who would have thought all I had was heartburn?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWhen I learned I had a stroke I felt my life was over. Now with therapy I am going to be okay, I\u2019ll just have to take things more slowly.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWhen I heard the word \u2018dialysis\u2019 I was sure my days were numbered.
